Stroke/Disability Art Group: Mondays 1.30 – 3.30. £13. This tends to be an older age group, many who have had a Stroke and so have communication and mobility issues. We also welcome people with a physical disability in this group. Self referral or professional referral. Payment on a weekly basis. Domestic Violence and Women’s Mental Health Art Group. Tuesdays 10 – 12.00 £15 Drop in. A women’s only group, a safe and supported space to be creative and chat about your current concerns. Peer support. This group leans towards exploring a lot of textile and craft work but in our studio there will be a wide range of mediums, materials and tuition provided. Places available. Home Educated Young Teens Group Tuesdays 1.30 – 3.30 term time only. £15 a session but payable for each 6 week term in advance please. This is a taught art course with a strong drawing element and covers watercolour, oil and acrylic painting, printmaking, small book making… For children aged 9 – 16. All abilities welcomed and we ask that you disclose any neuro-diverse or mental health conditions on application please. Tutor has a BA in Fine Art and 8 years of teaching art to younger people. A strong portfolio of work can be built up in these sessions ready for application to Higher Education. Our past students have successfully completed Foundation Art Diplomas and BA in Fine Art.

Learning Disability Art Group Wednesdays 1.30 – 3.30 £15 a session. Self referral or professional referral. Payment on a weekly or monthly basis. This is not a drop in group, we have 10 places for regular LD artists. Tuition provided, and a wide variety of art mediums/materials are available. A lively, fun, happy, friendly, art group with lots of great projects going on plus the occasional burst of spontaneous singing and dancing!
Public Drawing Course. Thursdays 10 – 12 £200 for a 10 week course. All materials provided. Payment is due, in full, on booking please. This is a popular course with a wide range of techniques and mediums taught. It covers traditional and contemporary methods of drawing and includes informative and inspiring presentations on significant artist who use drawing as part of their practice. The Course is relaxed, informal, and helps find your confidence and your own style of drawing. Line, Tone, Composition, Observation and Mark Making are all taught. There is not one way to draw so we work towards interesting drawings rather than perfect drawings. Drawing for the terrified!
Art Collective Thursdays 1.30 – 3.30. £15 a session payable for a 6 week term in advance please. This is a supported art group where you bring your own work and we have a skilled tutor at each session who will demonstrate an interesting technique each week and help you develop your artist practice. You provide your own materials and we provide the expertise. Visits to galleries, suggestions to relevant artists to research, portfolio tuition and outdoor sketching can be included in these sessions. Please note – NOT the first Thursday each month.
ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia Art Group. Thursdays 2- 4 pm. The first Thursday each month. £15 a session This a a gentle, quiet and friendly group and you work at your own place and without pressure. A wide range of interesting art, craft and textile projects are explored. Public Printmaking Course. Fridays 10 -12.00 £200 for a 10 week course, all materials included. Payment is due in full on booking please. This course is a good introduction to printmaking and covers lino printing, etching, collograph, mono-printing, litho and silk screen, all on paper and on fabrics. We have a beautiful hand built etching press suitable for wheelchairs users too. Tutor has a BA in Fine Art and 8 years experience teaching printmaking.
Public 1 Year Textile Course Fridays 2 – 4.00. Taught in six week units. £120 per six week term. Payment is due, in full, on booking please. All materials provided but please bring your own sewing kit. The course covers a wide range of textile and stitch techniques including Shibori, Kantha, Boro, Traditional embroidery, Contemporary Embroidery, Natural Plant Dyeing, Wet Felting, Experimental techniques, Fabric Manipulation… Highly experienced, professional and friendly tutors.
